Link45™ smart 1‑Wire® master

This versatile 1‑Wire® master is the original iButtonLink product. The Link45 adapts to deal with long and difficult 1‑Wire networks that would defeat standard adapters. It is a direct replacement for the Dallas Semiconductor/Maxim DS9097U serial adapters in most applications*, using the same drivers.

The Link45 also uses standard ASCII characters to perform all possible 1‑Wire® operations along with an enhanced set of functions. This mode of operation is independent of drivers and operating systems.

* iButtonLink 1‑Wire® masters do not support overdrive communication speed.

Link Hub™

A Link Hub provides four separate 1‑Wire® bus masters controlled transparently by a single RS232 (serial) or Ethernet interface. This allows system designers to use multiple cable runs to 1‑Wire devices in different locations and communicate with hundreds of devices from a single port.

The ASCII command set includes functions to enable or disable any combination of the four masters. Link Hubs require a 12 volt power supply.

Link Hub S

The Link Hub S connects to an RS232 serial port. It may be used as a drop-in replacement for the Link45 or the DS9097U adapter from Dallas Semiconductor.

Link OEM

A daughter card which provides the advanced functionality of the Link45 on a DIP daughter card. The Link OEM requires TTL level communication and a 5 volt DC power supply.

iButtonKeyboard™

The iButtonKeyboard is a self-contained device that emulates a standard USB keyboard. No drivers are required. Just plug it in to a USB socket on your computer.

When an iButton is touched to the receptor the 16 character serial number is "typed" into the active application. Use it for user authentication, asset management and making lists of your iButtons.

LinkLocator™

The LinkLocator sends its own unique address along with the 1‑Wire® address of an iButton® connected downstram.

LinkLocator Model 1

An encapsulated Link Locator. Features two digital outputs which may be used to power LEDs or actuate solid state relays.

LinkLocator Model 3

The Link Locator electronics are incorporated into an MBL read head. The bicolour LED is controlled by the additional outputs.

The LinkLocator sends its own unique address along with the 1‑Wire® address of an iButton® being touched to the read head.

This unique feature enables a number of read heads to be connected to a single
1‑Wire® master and knowing which read head has an iButton® present.

Applications include security (doors, locker systems), nurse call and process or production management.

LinkLocators may be used with any standard 1‑Wire master. However, use with Link45 or Link Hub products provides additional functionality including LED drivers and digital control outputs.
