iBTag™ Submersible Loggers

iBCod submersible logger

iBTags are made to withstand prolonged immersion in fresh or salt water to a depth of 600 metres (2,000 feet). They have many uses in marine and other research as well as aquaculture and numerous commercial applications.

All iBTags are compatible with Thermodata software and the Link45, DS9490R or DS9097U 1‑Wire adapters when used with the recommended connection clamp.

iBCod 22L

Main features of the iBCod 22L include:

  • Operating temperature range:  -40 to +85°C (-40 to +185°F)

  • Resolution of readings: 0.5°C or 0.0625°C

  • Accuracy: ±0.5°C from -10°C to +65°C

  • Sampling Rate: 1 second to 273 hours

  • Number of readings: 4,096 or 8,192 depending on configuration

  • Password protection, with separate passwords for read only and full access 

The large capacity of this logger allows the collection of 341 days (over 11 months) of readings at one hour intervals.

iBCod G

This is the base model iBTag. Features include:

  • Number of readings: 2,048. This allows the collection of 85 days of readings at one hour intervals

iBClamp connection clamp

iBTag connection clamp

iBTags have durable corrosion resistant contacts to connect to the adapter. A special clamp is required to make a positive connection for trouble free configuration and download.

The iBClamp is used in place of the Blue Dot receptor. It plugs into the RJ-12 socket on
the serial or USB 1‑Wire adapter.

iBee 22T high temperature logger

iBee logger

This logger is encased in high temperature material and operates at temperatures up to 125°C. Uses include monitoring of autoclaves (wet steam), hot food service and numerous industrial applications. Features include:

Turtle hatchlings

iBTags are used to monitor the effects of climate change on sea turtle populations.

Incubation temperatures of turtle nests are monitored and the proportion of male and female hatchlings is counted.

The effect of climate change on the ratio of male to female turtle hatchlings is established during successive breeding seasons.
